Mandarin, banana and mint smoothie

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 mandarins
  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 600 ml plant-based milk such as almond, soy, oat, coconut, etc.
  • 4 ice cubes
  • 2 tablespoons rolled oats (optional)
  • 6 sprigs mint
  • 4 teaspoons honey or agave syrup

ELABORATION

Peel the mandarins removing all the white parts until the wedges are clean.

Peel the banana and cut into slices.

In a food processor add the mandarin wedges (set some aside for decoration), banana slices, plant-based milk and ice cubes. Blend at maximum power for a few minutes. If you want a thicker smoothie, add a couple of tablespoons of rolled oats to the mixture and blend together.

In the bottom of each glass, put 5 mint leaves and 1 teaspoon of agave. Mash with a wooden spoon or similar to mix the flavors together.

Pour the smoothies in and stir with a spoon. Garnish with a sprig of mint and a mandarin wedge on the rim of each glass.
